With or with out

I know the perception of art differs from one person to another and one society to another. So my questions is with or without the sensor bar.

Eden's Garden

I have finished her hair and moved very quickly from there.
Come into my web and experience the texture and light.

The Garden Grows

I have finished the embroidery of Eden body. I have had to hand die some silk threads to get me some greens to work on some of the foliage of the garden. Soon I will be hand beading Eden's hair.

Teaser

I have been able to work a lot on Eden this month so she is coming along quite well. I only have her face and fingers to go and then I will be off and running on her hair. I have the beads lined up tp start stitching.
I am exited to do the background but one thing at a time. I did figure out to do rinkels in embroidery so I will be able to work on my old lady driade next in line. She is an old oak tree.

On all Hollows Eve

Moon Bay Designs Loves to announce that we have finally finished the Hunt Utilities Group Egyptian Adobe bath room. The walls of the building are constructed of straw bails. And is covered in Minnesota adobe. Also know as COB (straw, clay and sand). It houses the only working adobe bath tub, sink and vanity constructed entirely of MUD. We create the artwork from authentic Egyptian hieroglyphics. Katie Hunt an Egyptologist translated all of the names and story's in the old language. The cob is embelished with real gold leaf and stained with diffrent color clays. It took three years to construct. Other piece that were created in the four year contract are a set of mud stairs and three dimentinal murals on the north wall of the building. There are also mud relieves in the interier of the main part of the building. If you would like to experiance it for your self you can go to Pine River Minn. or go to hugllc.com for more.

Birthday

It is the day after my birthday and it was GREAT! Not having a paying job right now is hard but my family is wonderful. We had our own Red Lobster dinner at home and Ice cream cake that I was able to share with our neighbor. It is raining today but tomorrow is looking sunnier and hopeful. Jayd is safe at collage and has tons to do. Long days of lessons and rehearsals. His deafness is not slowing him down one bit. Enjoy the pic of my white orcid and Madame Bling in the back ground.

Up Date

Holloween is coming and so has the muse to create....

Fall is working its way threw Minnesota. My cat is not looking forward to the cold and he is now looking at the front door trying to deside if it is now time to come in. He likes it indoors when the nights are terribly cold but he loves it more out side.

Rainy days and Thursdays...
The painting is moving slower now. We have to pull some staples and move some of the fabric around. It is a little harder to pull silk on a canvas than it is for cotton or linen.
Now I need to pull out all of my embroidery supplies and start sowing.
We had a very interesting time last Saturday. We were invited to a Chain Saw competitions and showed our wears. I did have one gentleman fall head over heals for Madame Bling. Time will only tell what happens after that.

Flowing with great speed

We have all the dying done and we will be removing all of the wax lines today... The silk fabric is so shinny that it makes all of the images glow. I thoink we will have a lot of the details in the line work done today too.

Next step

Now that all the lines have been waxed it is time to create with the dyes. Madina had to remove a lot of the vinegar mothers from the dyes and replenish the colors. It is coming alone quite quickly. the time that will take the longest will be embroidering EVE.

Hot September

The Wax has arrived and the project is moving along. We now have all the back ground waxed and soon we will be dying the silk. The project looks very full of Eden Garden. I will be asisting Madina in filtering the dyes.

Next on the project

Mad and I have started on the next step on the new project. We have selected the piece of 100% silk canvas and have drawn out the design. Mad has started waxing out the lines with her kitska tool. We still have to wait for more wax from the cities. But we are plugging along. We have done some testing on a extra piece of silk and here is some of the results.

Grey Morning

Starting a new idea for the winters project. It may take all winter considering that I have a bakery job right now. It dose not leave much time for art. But I am very exited about this project. It will consist of all the finery of life.
100% Silk canvas, hand painted dies, gold leafing, cotton embroidery floss, Silk floss, satin, glass and lead crystals.
It will consist my nude figure and her name will be EVE. But the rest will be a garden for all the scenes.

Let us know what you think!

Our premier embroidery techniques have been rejected at several galleries because they're a "craft" not a "fine art." Let us know what you think on our new poll.

"Imitation, then, is one instinct of our nature. Next, there is the instinct for 'harmony' and rhythm, meters being manifestly sections of rhythm. Persons, therefore, starting with this natural gift developed by degrees their special aptitudes, till their rude improvisations gave birth to Poetry." –Aristotle

Crafts fall under the catagory of applied art, such as textiles. Although our embroideries could be used as a practical textile, the presentation of the human form and classical techniques begs to differ. let us know what you think.

Thanks to Jay'd web master

I want to thank the boy for working tirelessly in getting the site up and running. Lots of loud noise and now lots of joyful sound. If any one has any comments on the art pieces that I have created I would love to hear from you.......

Thanks again Jay'd
