Dakaasin is fini

I finished the next project and ready to start on another. I think I will be working on another portrait. I have some interest in a new prorate for the Textile Center for next year. I am running with it. It will be as big as I can create it so I can really get into the hand painted eyes......

Finished project number 14

I just finished project number 14. I still have three more of this series to go. It was still a challenge to create wrinkles and the puff embroidery for the leaves. It is the four seasons.
I have started a new one with the Indian trading post in mind.The lovely thing on this new one will be creating dandelion fluff.It will have a lot of movment.

One stich at a time.

Trying to create wrinkles has turned out to be a very slow proses. so many more stiches are used to make the tightly puckerd skin. It is a good lesson, just takes a lot more time this piece is going a lot slower than my other pieces.

The Art of Video

I sit in the large leather recliner doing my art because that is what I do. It is my life and my blood now that my children are grown. I was given the taist of being a full time artist and now that is what keeps me going. No other jobs available so I keep creating. Trying to figure out how to market it in a bad time of markets and a place that is heaven to me but not a good place to market art in my style. My nephew has started VBLOGing and it has struck a cord for me. Back when I was ten and all I wished for was to have all my questions answerd. And Star dates and captain Kirk putting in his reports in Si-Fi. I am very intresated in this new video blogging becouse of my dislexia. That is why I create in pictures. Writting is hard and my brain is not wired correctly for the written word. Dial up connection dose put a damper in the idea but who knows what the future brings......
